Lo and behold, it turns out that it is actually true that consistent Bible reading is one of the keys for spiritual growth and spiritual maturity.
I am challenging the church family at Southern Hills Baptist Church in Sioux City to make a commitment to read the Bible regularly through the coming year. I will post each day's reading and a brief devotional about the text. You will be free to make comments, ask questions, share prayer requests and encourage one another.
How about letting 2014 be the year that you test whether what I've been saying all these years is actually true - that the Spirit of God uses the Word of God to do the Work of God in the People of God.
Read and grow in 2014.
